It was overcast today, but the sky cleared later. This afternoon, I learned about a modern revision of "Cinderella" that I think is even better. Unlike the original, which suggests a prince or fairy godmother will solve everything, this story teaches children a different lesson: we must ultimately rely on ourselves. Fairytales don't come true, magic wands don't exist, and we need to stand tall, using our own wit and determination to overcome problems.

I was supposed to hang out with my friend today, but unfortunately we had to go home earlier than planned because she suddenly started feeling sick. She had eaten sushi before meeting me, and it seems like she got a mild case of food poisoning. It really worried me, and I felt bad that our day together ended so suddenly. Winter is a season when people easily catch colds or feel unwell, so I want both of us to be more careful about taking care of our health. There are many fun things waiting for us in the coming months, and we also have plenty of tests that we need to prepare for, so staying healthy is really important. I hope my friend recovers quickly, and I’m already looking forward to our next chance to hang out again. I definitely want to make plans for a proper “revenge day” so we can enjoy everything we missed this time.
